Phofu Kalahari Lodge

Phofu Kalahari Lodge is a uniquely designed luxurious lodge along the Trans-Kalahari highway, 52 km’s from Kang on the southern border of the five million hectare Central Kalahari Game Park. Phofu is a perfect stopover for tourists travelling to and from Namibia, Maun & destinations in and around the CKGR. From luxury accommodation to a basic bush campsite, we cater for all visitors wanting to explore the beauty of Botswana.
Phofu is a place where you can enjoy a quiet and tranquil space, where the only noise you can hear is the campfire, wildlife and birds. All the rooms and luxury tents have a beautiful view of the waterhole where animals come to drink. Take a dip in the pool, a guided walk, bird viewing, play snooker, enjoy a sundowner at the viewing points.

Luxury Bungalow
Phofu Kalahari Lodge offers accommodation in seven luxury en-suite bungalows. 4 bungalows close to the Lodge fully catered and 3 bungalows 3 km away for self catering. The comfort of these bungalows create an experience that blends the remoteness of the breathtaking setting with utter comfort and style.
Self catering Luxury Bungalow
The Kalahari Bungalow site has three luxury en-suite bungalows sleeping four, with a small lapa and basic kitchen facilities. The camp site is only 3 km away from the lodge with its own waterhole and lights for a unique experience with all the wildlife coming to drink.
Kalahari Guesthouse

Sunken Hide
The Sunken Hide site provides basic comfortable sleep over facilities ideal for tourists who wishes to await the excitement of close encounters with animals coming in to drink at night.
Bush Camp
The Boskamp camp site provides basic camping facilities ideal for tourists en route to and from the Okavango and Central Kalahari Game Park. Enjoy the the African night sky and bushveld,

This is our 4th visit to Phofu Lodge, it was real peace for the soul as there is absolute no noise. If you would just like peace and quiet Phofu is the place to go. The sand road to the lodge is much improved and much easier to drive than our 1st visit. The attention from the owner Nico makes the visit so much more personal! We really enjoyed his short introductory talk before each meal. He reminded us each time that someone greater than us helped create this Heaven we were visiting.
We stayed at Phofu lodge for two nights. It was total bliss. Friendly staff, excellent food that tried their utmost to make us comfortable and nothing was too much to ask. This is a beautiful lodge with excellent camp facilities if one wants to travel onward to the Central Kalahari GR. We can certainly recommend the lodge if you are looking for peace and quite in the heart of the bush!
What a wonderful Kalahari bush experience we had at Phofu Lodge staying in one of the luxury tents. We had the privilege of spending the weekend with loved ones and enjoying the hospitality of the friendly staff and owner. We went on a game drive and experience a beautiful sunset and wildlife scenery. We enjoyed the food and drinks! We highly recommend a visit to Phofu Kalahari Lodge.
We had the amazing privilege to spend quality time with our family and friends at Phofu Kalahari Lodge. We were treated beyond our expectations with such kindness and hospitality from the whole Phofu team. In the early mornings we woke up with the stunning views of the Kalahari, as the sun started to rise, with wildlife coming for their morning drink at the waterhole. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
